i can always tell when someone likes me more as an accessory vs an actual person because the moment i go off script it's a problem. i'm not being valued for my authenticity but only my ability to placate you.
Out of everything I ever pray for, God please cover my kids first. 🥹 Shield them, guide them, protect their heart and their steps. That’s my whole world, my reason, my everything. ❤️ Long as they straight, I’m straight. Keep my kids safe at all times 🙏🏽
I feel like I’m in this bubble and every time people look in I’m smiling but when they walk away, I am screaming and crying. I’ve been having such a hard time and no one hears me. Everyone just says, you’re strong you got this, it will be ok.
When I shut down, I really shut down. I disappear. I stop talking, I don’t respond to texts, I go quiet without explaining myself. It’s not personal. I might still post, so if it looks like I’m acting weird or ignoring people, I’m not. I’m overwhelmed. I’m regrouping. I’m clearing space in my head so I don’t lose myself trying to hold everything together.
Nobody prepares you for the amount of pain and grief you experience when you have to forgive yourself for believing someone was actually a genuine person. The hardest part isn't just their betrayal, it's the shame you carry for ignoring your instincts.
Actually, nobody likes you when you're depressed. Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves.
They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.😪
