@773tom79 @CDubbs I was working in downtown Indy near the hospital he was at. Press trucks parked everywhere! Lots of celebrity motorcades making visits. it started to feel a little disrespectful - a media circus. In the end, I believe everyone had good intentions. Very emotional times.

@773tom79 @UltimateMopars If I remember right, car was driven by a local dealer. For a month, he practiced coming into the pits at speed and braking at a specific flag in the ground. On race day, someone removed the flag. He didn’t realize it until too late.

@Paul_L_OBrien My mom stopped eating. Hospital sent an “expert”. Nothin worked. Expert said let her go naturally or use a tube. I took a spoon with soft food said “mom, I made lunch but I think it needs salt. can you taste it” she said “Sure Honey” & took a bite! I cried. Expert was stunned.
