something i’ve learned is there are genuinely people who will watch something happen publicly, have access to all the same information as everyone else, and still somehow invent their own fanfiction version of events and defend it like their life depends on it.

and the craziest part is they never argue the actual point because they can’t. so instead it becomes olympic level nitpicking, arguing about wording, pretending context doesn’t exist, moving goalposts every 3 replies, and acting like finding a typo means reality changed.

it’s fascinating because at a certain point it stops being disagreement and starts becoming performance art.
