@kshelintx@Azariel91 There is no doubt that he loves and cares for her. However, I don’t think he understands that her being called yellow by her own father is very hard. Too many ppl assume that it’s okay and it’s not. She might not even realize that is why she is acting that way because of it.
@kshelintx@Azariel91 The girl is lighter than her grandma. If she can’t get away from that mentality that she is yellow at home then of course she is going to unknowingly act out. I know this for a fact. To anyone light-skinned being called yellow is highly derogatory. It’s great to see the father …
@Azariel91 I have not seen anyone catch what he said. She is acting out and that is an issue in the community. don’t feel accepted at home where that mentality is prevalent. Not accepted at home, at school, etc. How do you behave where you aren’t accepted?
@Azariel91 Calling her yellow is part of the problem…no light-skinned or mixed child wants to feel like they aren’t accepted by their family. I can see the issue started at home….yes he is trying to do right but not aware she is being alienated by calling her yellow or red at home!
@washingtonpost Trying to rewrite history much? I see a lot of replies denigrating things and ppl they don’t understand. For those painting this with a racist brush ….will you ever be satisfied that not everything has to be about you? What is so hard about sharing this planet with ppl of color?
@sw_holocron The force is about the life and soul in everything that you can tune into its energy. Read the stories, listen to what made them into what brought them to that point and Andor was truly the beating heart. What would you do if someone came to destroy your world? Take it back!
@sw_holocron Andor was the real meat of Star Wars. The people who lived day to day and I absolutely loved this series. Remember who they were before the force. Where they came from. Who put a roof over their heads. So the force and all the weapons are cool but it was what the force is about.
@ProjectLincoln I’m disabled but when she shook his hand I wished so bad to stop her , before she returned to her podium, and slather some hand sanitizer on her hands. It might have taken me a moment because I use a walker but it felt like my patriotic duty.
