@CatrinGlitch@Jerayseesu@lesunderworld @rudebyers I’m saying this as someone who loves Eleven and considers her my favorite character. It’s upsetting how the show massacred her story.
@CatrinGlitch@Jerayseesu@lesunderworld @rudebyers Mileven could have worked with stronger writing, but the Duffer Brothers did not seem interested in developing them as people or developing their relationship, only their weird alien bullshit
@CatrinGlitch@Jerayseesu@lesunderworld @rudebyers He was a terrible boyfriend to her, and it’s clear neither of them was ready for a relationship. Mike was emotionally absent, and Eleven needed to forge an identity outside of romance. Instead of addressing either issue, the show gave them no screen time, then tossed in a kiss
@Idk_42172 @rudebyers Eleven is my favorite character, so I can’t honestly call her ending up with Mike good writing. A key part of her journey was realizing she is strong on her own and that she is more than her relationships. Mileven is bad writing and unnecessary for Eleven, regardless of Byler.
@lesunderworld @rudebyers After her iconic breakup with Mike in season 3 and a whole season spent realizing she can be her own person, shown in her new confidence, her friendship with Max, and her style change, they traded it all to make her an extension of Mike.
@AminCad@TimCJudd@keithedwards The Epstein Files are governed by legally binding secrecy rules and may be disclosed only through the rule’s specified exceptions (requiring judicial authorization), not by presidential decision. However, I agree that the Biden administration failed at trying/not defending that
@AminCad@keithedwards Recent Pew Research Center findings show that both Democrats and Republicans report frustration and anger toward the opposing party, underscoring that perceived grievance is broadly distributed rather than confined to a single side (Pew Research Center, 2025).
@AminCad@keithedwards During the 2024 presidential campaign, Donald Trump publicly endorsed releasing the Epstein Files (Washington Post, 2024). The ensuing public pressure was amplified by him backpedaling on his promise despite basing his campaign around it.
