Matt Sokol has looked like the #Patriots best run-blocking tight end this summer

A player that stood out to me at Patriots training camp is Matt Sokol and here is why:

Matt Sokol the Six foot, five inch 258 pound tight end was on FIRE today at Patriots training camp.

Sokol was great in the Red Zone.

The big bodied tight-end recorded multiple catches, Including touchdown reception vs DB Jalen Mills.

Here are some more key components of Matt Sokol game stood out to me and why:

Ability to make contested catches ✅

Run Blocking ✅

Route running ✅

-Ability to make contested catches

Sokol was great in the red zone, especially when he caught a touchdown vs Jalen Mills (DB).

-Run Blocking

Sokol was on the second team offense today and he was leading the way during the run plays. The 6'5" TE is solid at blocking and gets the job done.

-Route Running

The route running is good. Having the ability to run routes and be able to box out the defender is key in the NFL. Throwing a jump ball to Sokol, there is a very good chance he will come down with the ball. A quick 50/50 ball in the Red Zone is ideal.

Keep a eye on Matt Sokol during the Patriots training camp/Preseason!
