And this is coming from someone who has written several 100K+ fanfics. Never once did I stop to think about the people who wouldn't read it because of the dynamic I tagged. I was happy with the readers I did get.

As an author myself, I don't understand why this insults you. No one is making you sit down to write 100K+ word fanfics. If you're not happy doing it to satisfy yourself, then maybe you're doing it for the wrong reason. Seriously, no one is obligated to read what you post.

i get having strict top/bottom preferences for pwps or smut heavy fic, but overlooking 100k+ word fanfics of fully fleshed out stories bc they don't have the right t/b tag feels so insulting and degrading as an author
