At 10:08 am on December 15, Thai military forces used F-16 aircraft to drop two bombs in the areas of Chong Kal District and Srei Snam District, Siem Reap Province, near refugee camps, penetrating more than 100 kilometers into Cambodian territory.

Please be informed about the situation along the Cambodia-Thailand border regarding the Thai military forces’ attack on Cambodia's civilian infrastructures in the 5th Military Region, Thmar Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province, in the afternoon of December 13, 2025. As of 0341 hours, the Thai military dropped 3 more bombs.

- At 15:30 p.m., the Thai military forces used an F-16 fighter jet to drop another bomb and destroy Chey Chomneas Bridge.
- At 15:34 p.m., the Thai military forces continued to drop another bomb using F-16 fighter jet on Chey Chomneas Bridge.
- At 15:41 p.m., the Thai military forces continued to drop another bomb using F-16 fighter jet on Chey Chomneas Bridge.

BREAKING: Thai F-16 Jets Bomb Chei Chomnas Bridge Cutting Off National Road 55 in Pursat

(Pursat): Thai military forces used two F-16 fighter jets to drop bombs on Chei Chomnas Bridge (Me Teuk Bridge) in the Thma Da area of Veal Veng district, Pursat province, early this morning, 13 December 2025.

According to the Ministry of National Defence, on 13 December 2025, Thai forces are using two F-16 fighter jets to drop 7 bombs at the following targets:

- At 0550 hours, Thai forces dropped one bomb to destroy hotel building at Tmor Da.

- At 0555 hours, Thai forces dropped another bomb to destroy hotel building.

- At 0602 hours, Thai forces dropped one bomb to destroy Chei Chomnas bridge.

- At 0607 hours, Thai forces dropped another bomb to destroy Chei Chomnas bridge.

- At 0612 hours, Thai forces dropped one more bomb to destroy Chei Chomnas bridge (Old Bridge).

Thai forces have not stopped the bombing yet and are still continuing the bombing.

According to the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, The Thai armed aggression has caused serious damage. As of December 10, 2025, the toll includes 9 civilian fatalities (including one infant) and 46 civilian injuries.

Cambodia urges that Thailand immediately stop all hostile activities and withdraw its forces from Cambodia's territorial integrity, and avoid acts of aggression that threaten peace and stability in the region. At the same time, we call on the Thai side to firmly honour the Ceasefire Agreement, the Joint Declaration, as well as the obligations under international law with sincerity, in good faith and goodwill.

I strongly condemn the unprovoked use of violence by the Thai side against innocent Cambodian civilians in Prey Chan Village in the afternoon of 12 November 2025, which resulted in injuries to three Cambodian civilians and the tragic loss of one life.

This act violates international humanitarian law and international law, and goes against humanitarian principles and the mutual agreement previously reached to resolve border issues through peaceful means—especially the agreement to allow the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) to conduct survey and emplacement of temporary markers, and to maintain the status quo until the completion of the survey and a final decision by the JBC.

I call on the Thai side to immediately cease the use of force against innocent Cambodian civilians in Prey Chan Village and to refrain from any use of force in addressing border issues between our two countries.

I also call for an independent investigation into this incident and appeal for the participation of qualified international parties to uncover the truth and those responsible in order to deliver justice for the victims.

At the same time, I instructed the local authorities and all security forces to take urgent measures to protect our civilians—placing absolute priority on their safety and lives.

Cambodia remains committed to resolving this border issue peacefully, in accordance with the spirit of the Joint Declaration signed in Kuala Lumpur on 26 October 2025, with the goal of ending the conflict and building peace between our two nations.

It has been 78 days since 18 Cambodian soldiers were captured under the captivity of the Thai military. Cambodia urgently calls on the Thai side to release them as soon as possible, so that they may be safely reunited with their families in accordance with international humanitarian law.

It must also be underscored that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been and will continue to make tireless efforts, using all available mechanisms for Thai military to release and return our 18 soldiers as quickly and safely as possible.
The Royal Government and the Ministry of National Defence, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces will never abandon any of our troops under any circumstances.
