Can you tell me at least 5 reasons why Alberta is better off being a part of Canada vs Alberta joining the US. I can tell you some reasons why we would be better off being a part of the US:
- stronger currency
- stronger military
- better representation politically with their electoral college system (no Tyranny of Ontario and Quebec always deciding elections, California and New York don't drown out the voices of smaller states)
- not having our tax dollars siphoned to other provinces via equalization
- access to a bigger job market for remote work (50 other states)
- the US govt would help us get our oil and gas to foreign markets for a better world price, we could charge Canada higher for the oil and gas that comes back into Canada
- 1st amendment & 2nd amendment rights
- access to more investor capital in a better US economy
- ability to keep our low tax regime
Go ahead, tell me what Canada has to offer Alberta that is better than these
Right now Taiwan is facing massive gray zone.

China produces more carbon emissions than USA, Germany, France, India, Canada and UK combined. Anyone who is genuinely concerned about carbon emissions would be better served protesting against government policy in China than worrying about cow farts in the UK.
#Taiwan🇹🇼 joins #US🇺🇸 in condemning the #PRC’s flagrant violations of international law. #China’s disregard for the rules-based order fuels escalating regional instability. Neither the #Philippines🇵🇭 nor other nations should be threatened by the #CCP’s reckless ambitions.
A Pakistani in China was offering Namaz in a restaurant considering it to be his father's house. Suddenly the restaurant owner came from behind and....this is what happens in China when someone doesn't differentiate the prayer & public place.
Pleased to host First Lady of #Guatemala Dr. @lucreciapeinado in #Taiwan & grateful for President @BArevalodeLeon’s well wishes for National Day. We’re eager to enhance our ties in public health & beyond based on shared values of freedom & democracy to ensure a prosperous future.
Last night, the Russian army launched another attack on Ukraine using “Shaheds.” There were strikes in the Odesa region, specifically in the Izmail district, very close to the Romanian border. The “Shaheds” targeted ordinary civilian infrastructure — a ferry terminal, trucks, and a grain warehouse. Exactly the kind of targets that Russian terrorists always aim for: the food security of the region and the world.
Ukraine has long been telling all our neighbors and key partners — we need to cooperate, we need to work together to shoot down “Shaheds” and missiles, especially in areas near NATO states. This is entirely possible. Every time we see brutal Iranian strikes in the Middle East, the international coalition acts together.
I thank every country that helps us with air defense. A special thanks to Romania for the “Patriot” systems. Together, we can achieve even greater efficiency — we can put an end to Russian terror by jointly taking down “Shaheds” and missiles.
Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Canadians come together to learn, recognize, and reflect on the history of residential schools. This day also underscores the importance of building and strengthening relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples and the need for reconciliation.
@SpokespersonCHN You should think America and the worst for allowing your goods and services to be bought there. Instead, you bite the hand that feeds you.
China has no right to sanction Taiwanese people for their political opinions or pursue prosecution across borders. Democracy is not a crime; autocracy is what’s truly malicious. Once again, I urge China to choose dialogue with Taiwan's democratically elected government.
