Reformado por la gracia de Dios.
Confieso el credo de Nicea, la confesión bautista de fe de 1689, y oro que todo enemigo de Cristo Rey sea puesto a sus pies.
REGULAR REMINDER:
Applying the first clause the way these people do to the rest of the verse means this is a biblical prooftext in favor of transgenderism.
All these distinctions exist apart from membership in Christ.
Anyone who uses this as a gotcha is either very stupid or a liar.
I survived high school by believing what the Bible says about relationships and disbelieving everything I heard from classmates, teachers, therapists, and extended family
Men, if your girlfriend shows the slightest bit of sympathy for Lindsey Clancy, leave her right away. No conversations, no nothing. Don’t risk your kids’ safety
Three children are dead, yet Lindsay Clancy has become the central victim. This spectacle exposes the secular feminist “second-victim” doctrine at the heart of Big Pro-Life and why it must be repudiated.
I'll just save everybody a bunch of time about the Calvinist debate and narrow it to a single question, one which forms the dividing line between Calvinism/Monergism and Arminianism/Synergism.
Fact: We are justified by faith in Christ's atonement and resurrection.
Q. Where does ^ that faith ^ come from?
Answer 1: MAN
Answer 2: GOD
If you believe that MAN produces the faith, contributes the faith, is the originator of that faith, that faith is YOUR contribution to salvation, then you are a Synergist/Arminian/Semi-Pelagian, aka Team Free Will.
But if you believe that GOD provides the faith, that it originates with Him, that He is the author and finisher of it, and that faith is HIS contribution to your salvation, then you are a Monergist/Calvinist etc, aka Team Sovereignty.
Clearly, not all are saved, because not all have faith. No one should disagree with this fact. The question - the entire debate - is if ones' lack of faith is their doing, or God's. And that depends entirely upon who provides it.
What does the Bible say? From where or from Whom does faith come?
Questions discussed, in depth, for many centuries. The difference between the decree, and foreknowledge, is, again, a basic one, fully discussed by men who spent decades carefully working on the topic. Choosing to re-invent the wheel and ignore what has already been said on these topics is a really, really bad look for someone who should know the importance of primary source work. For example, Dinesh, some of us have written, preached, and taught, on Psalm 33, exploring the direct connection between Yahweh's creative commands (v. 9) and what follows: man's עֲצַת and מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת (counsel and thoughts) are nullified and frustrated by Yahweh; but, immediately, "The עֲצַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה (counsel of Yahweh) stands forever, the מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת (thoughts) of His heart from generation to generation." Direct parallel. Mans counsel...frustrated. God's counsel...established. Likewise, we have taught on the fact that the Greek term used in the NT for "foreknowing," (προγινώσκω) is a verb and, when God is the subject, the object is always personal, not impersonal. Hence, God foreknows individuals, not mere future events. This is key in Romans 8 and the Golden Chain of Redemption. I do wish you would take my advice, drop this topic publicly, obtain primary source material, and show some respect for the depth of the topic by considering that maybe, just maybe, there is more to it than social media might lead you to believe.
This is the worst thing I’ve ever read, but it’s entirely true and accurate. For anyone who has expressed even the faintest sympathy for Lindsay Clancy: this is what you’re sympathizing with. This is what it actually means, in real life, to strangle 3 children to death. This is what that scene would have looked like. This is the level of raw unbridled soulless evil required to do what Clancy did. Read this and tell me this woman doesn’t deserved to be convicted and then strapped to an electric chair.
2 signs that your nation is under God’s judgment.
Your nation is ruled by foreigners.
(Deut. 28:43)
Your nation is ruled by women.
(Isaiah 3:12)
We are a nation under judgement.
May God grant us repentance.
