Corruption doesnât suddenly become acceptable because the person doing it belongs to your political party.
Itâs amazing how quickly people will scream about government corruption when the other side is involved, but suddenly become defense attorneys when itâs someone they voted for.
If a Democrat abuses their power, hold them accountable. If a Republican does it, hold them accountable. Itâs really not that complicated.
And no, that doesnât mean both parties are equally corrupt or that every accusation is true. It means the standard shouldnât change depending on whoâs being accused.
Weâve gotten so wrapped up in defending political teams that people will excuse the very things they claim to stand against. Theyâll demand investigations for one person and call the same scrutiny a witch hunt when itâs someone on their side.
I donât care what letter is beside someoneâs name. I care whether theyâre abusing the authority weâve entrusted to them.
We shouldnât have to choose between defending our principles and defending our party. And if a party requires us to abandon our principles, maybe itâs time to reconsider that loyalty.
Politicians work for us. Theyâre not royalty, theyâre not above the law, and they sure arenât entitled to our blind loyalty.
Corruption doesnât have a party. But apparently accountability does. Or, in other words, if corruption only bothers you when the other party does it, then corruption isn't really what bothers you. Partisanship is.
The Constitution doesnât change depending on whoâs president. Right and wrong donât change depending on whoâs doing it. Corruption doesnât suddenly become acceptable because your party benefits from it. Free speech isnât just for people you agree with, and due process isnât just for people you like.
Constitutional rights arenât privileges handed out to people we agree with. They donât disappear because someone on the other side supposedly cheered when those same rights were violated.
Thatâs not how rights work. Thatâs not how the Constitution works.
If your defense of violating someoneâs constitutional rights is âWell, they didnât care when it happened to us,â then you donât actually care about constitutional rights. You just want your turn to violate them.
The Constitution isnât supposed to protect only your side. Itâs supposed to protect us from exactly that kind of thinking.
Busy weeks lately! Not really trying to âget a-head,â just keeping my chin up and pressing on. đ
Just wrapped filming the feature Away From the Lagoon in Savannah. Amazing script, director, cast, and crew! While driving back home, I booked four dates as a stand-in on a pretty popular TV show. This weekend, itâs off to Fairfax, Virginia, for another film shoot Friday through Sunday. Then back for more work on Will T.
A lot of miles, long days, Airbnbs, hotels, memorizing lines, photography, and not much downtime. But Iâm getting better at the craft with every project, and the people I get to meet and work with along the way have been truly amazing.

Iâm tired of both political parties acting like theyâre the solution when theyâve both spent decades contributing to the problems. Republicans preach limited government until they want to control your personal life. Democrats preach freedom and equality while too often protecting the same wealthy donors and political establishment they claim to oppose. Both talk about accountability until itâs someone on their own side. Both promise change, then make excuses when they fail to deliver.
Iâm not interested in defending a political party. Iâm interested in defending principles. Constitutional rights, individual liberty, equal justice, religious freedoms, fiscal responsibility, and a government that actually answers to the people.
You donât have to choose a team to recognize whatâs wrong. And (some people I know need to hear this) criticizing one party doesnât mean youâre supporting the other.
Politicians are supposed to work for us.
But there arenât THAT MANY flock cameras in Birmingham ⊠really?
If you arenât breaking the law, you have nothing to be concerned about? Oh, yeah? They are building infrastructure capable of creating searchable records of innocent peopleâs movements, and weâre relying heavily on policies and promises to ensure that tomorrowâs users donât find new purposes for yesterdayâs data.
The risks:
The cameras record vehicle license plates, vehicle make, model, color, and distinctive features. Although they generally are not designed for facial recognition, they can create detailed records of where vehicles have traveled over time.
As more cameras are installed, they can enable authorities to reconstruct a personâs movements, even if that person is not suspected of a crime.
If the stored data were accessed without authorization or breached, it could reveal sensitive travel patterns.
There are concerns that data could be used for purposes beyond investigating serious crimes, such as monitoring political activities or tracking individuals without sufficient justification.
Automated license plate readers can occasionally misread plates or incorrectly associate a vehicle with a crime, potentially leading to unnecessary police stops or investigations.
Many Flock systems allow participating law enforcement agencies to share information with one another, raising questions about how broadly data is distributed and who has access.
Prep work this week for filming in Fairfax, VA. Also upcoming work in Savannah, GA. Lots of driving! These will be production #18 and 19 for 2026 so far.
