Stieler: "The Dortmund player (Groß) was entirely opponent-focused. He wasn’t looking at the ball at all but only at his opponent, pulling him down by the neck. It cannot be ruled out that Kleindienst would have reached the ball without this holding. At the end of the day, it’s a video penalty. Not every hold warrants a penalty, but there has to be a certain degree of goal danger and opportunity."

Pascal Groß: "For me, that’s not a penalty, clearly not. And definitely not something for the VAR to intervene in, as it’s not a clear and obvious error. When you see his (Kleindienst’s) duel behavior, he’s using both hands on me, and I’m on him. I wasn’t pulling his jersey; we were both pushing on each other’s bodies. He’s pushing just as much. That’s never a penalty. I told him (Stieler) I don’t understand why VAR intervened."

Nuri Sahin: "Of course, you can discuss whether it’s a penalty. But I don’t think the VAR should step in. Otherwise, you’d have to intervene all the time. For me, it’s not a clear and obvious error. But that’s how it was decided, so I’ll leave it at that."

Dinamo Zagreb's Petar Sucic and Martin Baturina are reportedly on the radar of Borussia Dortmund. There is also increased interest from England in Felix Nmecha. Nmecha’s performances have reportedly sparked interest from several Premier League clubs, which names Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle as potential suitors, although without further specifics.
