Who you contacted.
When.
From where.

Not suspects.
Everyone.

Police say a year is “a good start.”
Experts say it creates a chill because it’s for any purpose, any data.

Signal and NordVPN have already said they may leave Canada over this.

This is why they wanted a majority.
So they can pass laws like this in the dark.

The Senate looks at it September 21.

In the Aurora theater shooting, three young men threw themselves over their girlfriends as the bullets started. All three men died. All three women lived.

We talk constantly about the first statistic. We rarely sit with the second. The same traits that can turn destructive in one context show up as protection when the threat is real.

The question isn’t whether masculinity can be dangerous. It’s whether we still want the version that runs toward the danger when someone else is in it.

Bigger bureaucracy does not equal a stronger country.

It equals a heavier burden on the people who actually create the wealth.

The math is broken.
