In the 1970s, Canada made the move towards the Metric System.

Sympathy to the lady who lost her pet.
Important reminder that wildlife does and should live in a healthy city.
We simply must keep our cats, dogs and wildlife safe, and that means changing attitudes.
Keep cats inside. Build a catio. Train to leash. But no more roaming!
We’ve had a number of enquiries lately from people worried about having a bumblebee ‘hive’ in their garden.
‘Are they dangerous?’
‘Should I have them removed?’
‘Will they be there forever?’
Here’s a quick bumblebee lifecycle thread to explain.
Please #retweet for the #bees.

Fully laden bees were 2°C warmer than unladen #bees.

Apparently anywhere deemed a "pristine viewscape" won't be allowed to have renewables installed. Soooo shouldn't oilsands also follow this mandate?

The Horse Lake area including Aura Creek in the Ghost Watershed is set to be logged this fall.
🐟Aura Creek is listed as critical habitat for Bull Trout and Westslope Cutthroat Trout. 🌿
Destroying their habitat shouldn't be considered acceptable.

Interesting turn of events…. The land next to Coventry Hills is for sale (Purple area on map). It neighbours some Crown Land (Yellow area on map).
