@KyleLeRoy@emilystjams Is there ambiguity in the myth of Prometheus? The Oppenheimer connection is in that they both put a wild, untamed power in the hands of man, but Prometheus was a story about being betrayed for his position on justice and equality and enduring it for the sake of the greater good
@michaelharriot The 31st. “This Monday” or “Monday” is the 24th, “Next Monday” is part of the next week. I don’t know anyone who would use the word “next” to describe a day within the same week. I’d refer to 7/26 as Wednesday, and 7/27 as next Thursday, all subsequent days of that week as “next”
@ChaosSpartan999 @nickkurtz15@LwkySad@BaskingAlt@MunstaMasta @enbootle His people are always coming back as clones that he has to watch dissolve before his very eyes over and over.
@Beragon@MoiraDonegan How much of that is because *solved* cold cases involve white victims (where the perpetrator is almost 9/10x going to be white)? How many cold cases with PoCs receive the resources needed to be solved years/decades later?
@City_Avenger @stormahgeddon @cinemagamer1 @TheFirstOkiro I don’t normally follow up on tweets weeks later but I also rarely have the exact thing that I’m talking about happen in real time (the changes were probably implemented when they made their audio adjustment, but it’s funny that they are *still* tinkering with the film)
@City_Avenger @stormahgeddon @cinemagamer1 @TheFirstOkiro Lol. I’ve been working I post production for a long time and I could tell stories. I can almost guarantee that the time between the locked final cut and delivery to theaters could be counted in hours. The complexity and size of the production only make that more likely not less
@MarcusRaynak@Variety This is one of those “tap the sign” things for me. Zaslav and Discovery did not buy WB. It was a merger, which formed a new company, owned 75% by ATT shareholders/25% Discovery shareholders, but Zaslav was put in charge. ATT dumped a ton of debt on to the company on the way out.
@ScarredForLife2@Brian_Cronin I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. They were both self aggrandizing exaggerators but Lee made way more tangible and undeniable contributions to comics. If you only included what he undisputably did, you’d still have one of the most legendary careers in history.
@MunstaMasta I really loved ITSV, can’t wait to seeATSV, but the one thing I always thought was weird was the whole “anyone can be spider-man” thing. There are decades of stories about Peter Parker was exactly the right guy at exactly the right time, and that anyone else would have failed.
