Queen may have gotten over 1 Billion for their catalogue, but have they ever gotten to eat chips and salsa in a small dressing with room with dicks drawn all over the walls.
#Detroit, State St & Cass, 1962-2021. The Rosa Parks Transit Center sits on the spot where this photo was taken, as well as West Park to the right. The AT&T Building is seen directly behind the bus, while the 1929 art deco Detroit Times Building stood across the park at right. The city had three major newspapers until one day in November 1960, when workers showed up to locked doors. The paper had been taken over by rival Detroit News, who lacked the decency to allow for Times workers to say their goodbyes. The triangular Times building was then used for printing by the News until 1975. It was razed in 1978 for parking, a shameless architectural demolition. The structure is hard to see in the 1949 aerial, but the last photo shows what was lost.
