I can't put John Lennox's autobiography down, it's beautiful. What a life he's lived, and his faith truly shines through his words. I highly recommend this book! 📚♥️
No. You didn’t read because you were dissociating or had ADHD; you read because books are a wonderful thing that enriched your life. Finding twisted motives for life’s greatest pleasures will make you miserable. We need to quit pathologizing the things that bring us joy.
Girl dads:
Do not bring little girls into the men's room. We do not want little girls exposed to adult, male genitals.
You are welcome to bring your girl(s) into the women's restroom.
Just give a knock, say you're a girl dad coming in, and you'll be fine.
I started reading this and was immediately reminded of the scene in Good Will Hunting where Robin Williams' character is telling Will about his wife, who'd recently died of cancer. He was talking about her imperfections, the little things that only he knew about — like how she'd sometimes fart in her sleep and wake herself up.
"People call these things imperfections," he said. "But they're not. Ah, that's the good stuff. That's what made her my wife."
It's a great scene. I'm not sure I have a point in bringing it up, other than to say that maybe optimizing everything in your life just to live a little longer might just result in missing out on some things that matter more — and not by a small margin.
My mother told me, when my children were very young, to let them clean up their spills themselves. Hand them a rag and guide them. It will be slow and messy, but it helps them learn. Then, when they walk away and are out of sight, you can clean it up properly.
My two-year-old used to make a bigger mess cleaning up her messes at first, but she has improved so much that she will even volunteer now to help me around the house. 🥹♥️
“Eve was created within the lush beauty of Eden's garden. But Adam, if you'll remember, was created outside the Garden, in the wilderness. In the record of our beginnings, the second chapter of Genesis makes it clear: Man was born in the outback, from the untamed part of creation. Only afterward is he brought to Eden.
And ever since then boys have never been at home indoors, and men have had an insatiable longing to explore. We long to return; it's when most men come alive. As John Muir said, when a man comes to the mountains, he comes home. The core of a man's heart is undomesticated and that is good. "I am not alive in an office," as one Northface ad has it. "I am not alive in a taxi cab. I am not alive on a sidewalk." Amen to that. Their conclusion?
Never stop exploring.”

What a turn of events.
I’m not opposed to Botox, fillers, or cosmetic surgery. My heart simply with to the underdogs. I'm always in awe of women who have embraced every wrinkle on their face with a genuine smile. Who can show their own unique story and features because, let's be honest, cosmetic surgery results in everyone eventually looking very similar in a dull and unimpressive way.
I don’t think you guys recognise the significance of this moment.
“Graceful ageing” is soooo out (finally).
Ageing NEVER is in.
Between metabolism-maxxing, innovative skincare, and all these semi-invasive and invasive procedures, ageing is starting to feel irrelevant (IT IS)
