Rumours of a national or KZN shutdown is ill advised. If true, the wounds of families of the more than 300 people killed in the first uprising will be opened afresh when they were starting to heal.
Carl, Mzwanele and their cohorts must be happy that more 300 people have died, ostensibly because they were angry at the way Zuma was treated. You have to wonder how they sleep at night.
Nothing that is fair and just will rely on uncritical loyalty for its survival.
Nothing that is morally and ethically right will ever condemn those who question it.
We felt good at the 1994 polls. We hoped we were the exception in Africa with a clean government. Instead, we loot and deliver little or no service. Theft is in both public and private sectors. The accused are shameless when they appear in public platforms.
@Radio702@MandyWiener The beatings, insults, extortion, disrespect by the members of the police/JMPD and defence is the reality of most Black people in SA. Our dignity is spat on by the very people who are supposed to protect us.
Of course skills are needed to develop the country, but students must be encouraged to attend TVET colleges. It's a tragedy that money is the determinant to tertiary education and the prospective to lift the family out of poverty.
@PicknPay
I'm just back from PicknPay Diepkloof Square, and very disappointed at their lack of empathy and consideration for pensioners. They are made to stand in long queues like other customers. Waiting for one to die while waiting.
@MorningLiveSABC
Shouldn't your headline be "push for same sex couples to have same benefits as heterosexual couples"? This is because heterosexual couples have those benefits presently.
There's a lot of talk about our purchase of AstraZeneca efficacy and expiration date. I think these are pertinent details that the company must make known to prospective clients, as well as storage conditions needed.
It's interesting the PP found Gigaba only violated ethics, while there's a probe into possible corruption. Will there be egg on the face after Norma's testimony at the Zondo Commission?
@bonglez I think it's a contradiction in terms to say that politicians should lead by example by being first in line. That means we want to experiment with the health workers as well.
This is not an excuse, but the political heads are letting down heads of departments to run their departments efficiently. Staff is demotivated because political heads do not supply their departments with requisite tools and resources to function.
