I wanted to share this crazy experience with all of you. We will all be surprised.

🐼 CUSTOM ART ENGINE 🐼

For Sensei pandas, Mono created very high quality 3D animated video assets.

The legends from @Launchifi had previously developed a fully functional art engine that handles standard photo formats like PNG and JPEG (even psd). For our specific mint, we had to invent a whole new render module/engine and some custom logic to be able to generate our Pandas.

Our new custom engine processes high-quality webm video layers and compiles them into a sequence of PNG frames.

These frames are then transformed into a high-quality animated GIF image.

🎨 SPECIAL METADATA 🎨

The new art engine outputs three types of media :

- Image/GIF: This is the main artwork, which is animated and intended for viewing in digital wallets and displays.

- Image/PNG: A frame snapshot from each animated sequence, typically used for profile picture.

- The engine also stores the webm video of the final combination for future reference.

🔥 NFT TINDER 🔥

We've also integrated a cool new feature called "NFT Tinder," requested by Mono.

This tool allows creators to like or dislike generated NFTs. The engine generates the entire batch, and users can audit each one.

Disliked items are added to a "redraw" pool where new combinations will be randomly selected with rarity.

Although this feature seems straightforward, maintaining the rarity distribution of traits was challenging.

To address this, we introduced a brand new system to rebase/rebalance trait rarities.

Each trait now has a history of weights that adjusts at each cycle to ensure the rarity distribution remains as close as possible to the original expectation.

👨‍🔧 EXTRA FEATURES 👨‍🔧

These enhancements have brought additional features, including:

- Rebalancing/rebasing trait rarity.

- Locked traits, allowing users to select a specific number of traits. (e.g. exactly 33 legendary skins)

- Multi-layered traits (e.g., Earth skin with butterflies).

The engine still utilizes known features like incompatible and forced traits, ensuring design coherence (e.g., ensuring a Care Bear Onesie doesn’t have a hat trait).
