Today marks one year at @metaplex.

Since then, we shipped Genesis for fair launches, released a web app, powered over 80M assets, and generated over $12M in protocol revenue.

I’m grateful to have worked with the smartest people I’ve ever met, but it’s time for a new chapter.

Not for me, but for the future of Metaplex.

In the first @solana cycle, Metaplex powered the NFT run that we all remember so fondly. When inscriptions blew up they were also powered by Metaplex. And then of course came the memecoin mania in 2024/2025 that was all powered by Metaplex Token Metadata.

Each cycle brings new excitement and attention but Metaplex has quietly been at the center of it all. I don't know where the next meta will form but Metaplex is skating where the puck is going, not where it currently is.

- Fair onchain token offerings through Genesis for top projects on Solana
- An agent marketplace & the infrastructure needed to build out the future of the agentic economy on Solana
- Onchain TCGs for collecting & trading (and more real assets onchain)
- An all in one tokenization platform for launching, discovering and trading onchain assets

Metaplex has always been an important part of the developer ecosystem on Solana but the future is directly engaging with consumers in areas that Metaplex thrives. I'm looking forward to continuing to build the future of ICMs and watch as the Metaplex protocol and $MPLX DAO continue to evolve.

Vibecoding is getting out of hand

Met my 13 yr old second cousin in Finland and found out he's making 45k a month with a vibe-coded agent tokenization platform he started last month

He literally asked chatgpt to draw up product specs and then fed it to claude and hit it in a few prompts

He thinks he can hit $2M in profits by October - all in his parent's basement

This obviously isn't real btw
