I think that example doesn't hold up because a royalty doesn't imply risk.

A better example would be if a person is starting his own record label and hires a music producer and says "I'll pay you a guarantee $10,000 or get a third of what the record label gets, including losses"

is what I feel a little more accurate to the situation.

@Djmoyer23 @jfwong I guess the thing that still trips me up is that no one would help the director recouping the losses of an indie film, but when the indie director actually becomes successful, everyone all of a sudden wants the profits.

That to me doesn't seem fair.

A business has assets that they can sell, but what about a film/movie set?

A director invests his money to get his film created while paying all the workers in the hopes that he can get his return.

I actually agree with you though. I think it'd be nice for the workers to get bonuses especially if it gets wildly successful.

but if I'm thinking about the other side where the film flops, I don't see a world where all the people who worked on the film would give a part of the salary to help offset the loss, ESPECIALLY for a indie filmmaker.

Would there be a law for that as well?

And the same argument can be made. If everyone pitched in for the loss, it wouldn't be that much to everyone as well, right?

Workflow:

1. Create Style Brief
2. Create Reference Image w/ Style Brief
3. Create new images using the reference + brief (use Chatgpt's Img2)
4. Animate with Kling
5. Create soundtrack with elevenlabs.
6. Edit post with Davinci

That's it!

A good use case that I believe that AI can do really well are opening credits.
