@WCCSG_ I'm not sure exactly. For some reason, I never considered geography. I watched EVERY game on TV (back then there weren't many). I fell in love with Nebraska - maybe it was their rabid fans, maybe their proud blackshirt defense, definitely Johnny Rodgers had an impact on me.
