Activist Bob Njagi is being held for 7 days for potential treason. He was arrested at Kitengela Matatu Stage while addressing the youth. He is under investigations for planning to overthrow the government of Kenya.

We attended court for the arraignment of hundreds of Kenyans who were arrested during yesterday's demonstrations in Nairobi. We secured the release of more than 200 youth charged with obstruction of motor vehicles on cash bail of a Kshs. 1000, and the unconditional release of a mother with a 7 month old baby. We thank the Court for upholding the rights of all who were arrested for expressing themselves in accordance with the law. We turn to the ODPP in hope that all these charges will be dropped.
