@SolomonADersso, Amani Africa Founding Director, delivered an intervention on climate, peace and security during the @ECA_OFFICIAL conference underway since early this week, emphasising the need for precesion and clarity on the interface between climate change & peace & security. He observed that such precision is a pre-requsite for both policy coherence & ensuring that the climate, peace & security agenda catalyses the translation of committments made under the UNCCC processes on adaptation, financing & loss and damage as well as mitigation. In this regard, he highlighted as one of the tests of the value addition of the climate, peace & security agenda is whether it facilitates greater access to climate funding to conflict affected and fragile countries, that currently have the least access.
