5 more producers rolling to be spotlighted in the next 5 days ✈️
Through December 2025, there was one record that was simply impossible to escape. “Ogbafia, Big Wiz, K-way, Kilobizzy / This is not child's play o / Djembe, djembe.”
These are the opening lyrics to “Money Constant,” the anthem that was unanimously declared the song of Detty December. The record, which was released in October 2025 as part of Wizkid, DJ Tunez and DJ Maphorisa's joint project, South Gidi, quickly became a fan favorite, stamping its presence on the charts and dancefloors. The record peaked at number one on the TurnTable Top 100 Songs chart, marking Wana SN's first number one record. It would be the first of many for the producer, sound engineer and songwriter.
Born Essien Uwana, Wana SN has quickly become one of the most impactful creatives shaping the new wave of Afropop. As a producer, he has delivered hits like SSSoundGawd’s “Hey Mama,” 6uff's “Ali Bomaye,” Firstklaz's “Lili” and Mavo's “Ice Cream” and “Shy Lover.” As an engineer, he contributed to popular tracks like the aforementioned “Money Constant,” “Escaladizzy,” Zaylevelten's “Wuse Tu” and No11's “How Far (Remix).” As a songwriter and composer, he's collaborated with acts like Gabzy, Terri, Ogranya, Eeskay, and Famous Pluto. His ability to wear different creative hats while delivering the highest level of creative excellence is what distinguishes him from many others in Nigeria's highly competitive creative ecosystem.
Flygod Radio caught up with Wana SN for a brief conversation — one about his role in the scene, craft, history, personal connections, future plans and some of his career highlights.
