Roblox just put a store inside your games.

They're calling it Shop.

It drops a "personalized" storefront right into the games you play so you can buy passes without ever leaving.

So the same company that already decides which games get seen now decides which items get pushed in front of you to buy inside them.

Games used to be the thing. Now the game is the store.

Every game just turned into a checkout line.

Starting July 14th, Roblox will be reducing what creators earn from 2D items, from 70% to 30%. If sold in-game, the game developer will earn 40% and the creator will still earn 30%.

In addition, to upload either 2D or 3D items, you need to pay 200 Robux and be ID verified (or have a linked parent account). To upload, you will need an active Plus/Premium membership and pay a publishing advance, starting at 600 Robux. Totaling to 800 Robux, minimum, per item.

When a player buys Robux, they are now given recommendations for what gamepasses and avatar items to spend it on.

Gamepasses are based on your most-played games, while avatar items are based on what you're interested in.

Next week, Roblox will release a new "Quick Words" feature for chat, allowing all users (even those not age verified) to send preset messages that can be seen by ages 9+ in games.

Creators will also be able to add custom phrases to this menu for their specific game(s).

Getting banned from a Roblox game used to mean you just make a new alt and get right back in.

Roblox just killed that trick.

Game creators can now ban your entire DEVICE from their game, not just the account.

Right now it only works on desktop (Windows and Mac) and lasts 24 hours at a time, but Roblox already said those limits could change later.

Roblox will no longer allow you to join a private server unless the owner of the server is present.

Roblox is age restricting items now. They're still up, but claimable as usual when you verify.

If you had the item before the change and haven't been assigned an age group, you will still have access to the item.

Discord is officially partnering with some of Roblox’s biggest games.

Games like Steal a Brainrot, Grow a Garden, and Brookhaven are now getting official Discord integrations, including:

- Rich Presence support
- Easier game invites through Discord
- Discord account linking
- Extra community moderation & safety tools for official servers

Discord says they’re bringing the same community features used by games like Riot Games and EA to Roblox games.

As of today, donation games on Roblox that utilize buying passes/developer products from other games are no longer possible.

Creators must now use the Transfers API, which allows players to donate up to 10,000 Robux a month with a Plus subscription.

When your game has had fewer than 100 highly engaged players over the last 60 days, users under the age of 16 will no longer be able to play it.

If a game is limited, it can regain access for Kids/Select users once the game has had 500 highly engaged players over the last 60 days.
