@HeyAndyS@blowfishxyz 100% agree. The current process is and was always meant as a stop-gap and itβs stayed in place for much too long. Weβre working with our wallet partners right now on a way to remove them safely π
@blowfishxyz by default blocks all new dapps from transacting on the Phantom wallet unless you take an approval from them, causing immense frustration among Solana developers. This thread will delve into this flawed process, backed by evidence from across the internet. π§΅1/

Dear @blowfishxyz !
Keeping users save is important, I get it. And I am very grateful for how you treated the situation when we found an actual threat.
However, I'm getting *several messages per day* from devs who just want their app to work..
We should now allow one entity to be the arbiter of truth for what's good and bad for end users.
This is not the way to make the internet a better place. This is moving back to Web2 practices.
We can do better than this and as an ecosystem demand this to improve.
@blowfishxyz Since Blowfish is blatantly ignoring the issue, our question to @phantom and @BChillman is: Do you seriously support this outrageous process of forcing every new developer through a humiliating, referral-based regulatory approval system?

@solana Great summary, but please remove @phantom from this list. They use a bogus security firm @blowfishxyz which harasses Solana developers - please read our ordeal at https://t.co/sW9lb6pUyX
@blowfishxyz, your decision to incorrectly flag our app https://t.co/75reqQRtlS as malicious has not only damaged our reputation but also raises serious concerns about the conduct and principles of the team providing security decisioning to @Phantom wallet on @Solana. π§΅1/
