@feraljokes Replying to the specific comments re: some point it shifted. It never shifted. “Consumption” of things has always been political and liking/disliking the popular thing has always been used to “other” people. It’s not new, unfortunately.

@stephenheiner Interesting take. I find that men (Western) typically want to tell me about their job even before I’m thinking of asking. And then they want to know what I do for a living, which I think is one of the least interesting tidbits about me. I’ll pay attention to this in the future.
