Love Means More Than Romance

One of the most beautiful things about Love and Deepspace has never been just the romance.
It has been the people.

Players from China and all around the world came together because we fell in love with the same story. We spoke different languages, came from different cultures, and held different beliefs, yet we laughed together, cried together, shared theories, translated content for one another, and celebrated every new chapter as one community.

That is something truly special.
The first word in this game's title is Love.
Love is not only about romance.
It is also about respect.
Understanding.
Empathy.
Accepting that people can love different characters without taking anything away from each other.
Supporting one character should never require another to disappear.

Valko has become more than just another Love Interest.
For many players, he now represents something much larger: trust in the developers' original vision.

From the very beginning, Love and Deepspace felt like a carefully planned journey. Every teaser, every detail, every piece of worldbuilding made us believe that the creators knew exactly where they wanted this story to go. That trust is one of the reasons so many of us became emotionally invested in this world.

When a character who appeared to be part of that long-term vision is removed, many players don't just feel the loss of one character.
They begin to question the permanence of everything else they have been asked to believe in.

Years from now, I don't want people to remember Love and Deepspace as "the game that removed a character and divided its community."
I want it to be remembered as the game that proved people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds could come together because of a shared love for an incredible story.
A game whose creators stayed true to their artistic vision.
A game that earned our trust—and kept it.

That is the legacy I hope Love and Deepspace will leave behind.

我发现有些国际服玩家可能不了解敖尹的宣传计划的灵感来源也不了解恋与深空的宣传是如何颠覆传统故事中的 “狼” 的负面刻板印象。

先来讲一下、这个英文词名为，“subvert” 也就是《颠覆》的定义是试图破坏或损害某事物。

恋与深空在所有的角色写作中都一贯地在颠覆读者的预期、从表面上是魔界地下城主、内里却拥有纯粹的温柔爱意的秦彻，到表面上面是医生但实则是来自更高的维度，也曾是至高神明的黎深。再到拥有既能伤人也能治愈的日炎之力的海神祁煜。这些设定乍看之下相互矛盾，正是因为它们与常规预期恰恰相反，但作品通过叙事的深度和人物塑造展现了他们的复杂性。

敖尹作为狼人的设定，正是为了颠覆童话寓言中"大灰狼"的固有印象而写的。这并非我的臆测—官方在这次宣传素材中明确引用了童话故事作为灵感来源！那句著名的"别在锅里洗澡"，其实是在指涉《三只小猪》故事的结局：小猪们设法困住了想吃掉他们的大灰狼，并把它扔进锅里煮死。这句警告并不是说给女性听的，而是用一种诙谐的方式警告"狼"不要被困住、"在锅里洗澡"。

这是在警告狼不要被困住，但敖尹却因为对MC的爱而"深陷其中"。锅是厨房用具，这也是为什么这句台词会被用在住宅系统新增厨房功能的宣传中。这一切都是为了呼应《三只小猪》这个寓言/童话故事的叙事灵感。

此外，在他的"本能沦陷法则"（Foregone Fall）预告片中，官方再次明确向观众表明敖尹是一只值得信赖的好狼 ; 通过铺垫与结局的对比来颠覆他给人的第一印象。让我来解释这是什么意思。

铺垫部分：

故事以带着童话般略显阴森的节奏开场，画面是MC在深夜独自一人。文字写道：

"在每个童话故事里，猎人都是狼群最可怕的梦魇"

这句话已经把MC置于强势的位置——不是狼群在恐吓猎人，而是猎人应该让狼群感到害怕。因为MC的职业正是猎人，这句话既反讽地点出了她的职业身份，也点明了她与敖尹之间"猎人与狼"这一动态关系的巧思。

"一个人在家吗，猎人？小心点哦——"

这不是在预示危险，而是在表明：这一夜，MC所要面对的"梦魇"，不过是一只黏人到有点犯傻的狼。但这并非真正的危险，而是在调侃他对待她的存在有多么需索无度。从他先前受伤的手也能看出，MC所谓的"梦魇"，其实是一只受了伤、又粘人的狼，而她显然对他也是有好感的——此刻正来找她。

结局部分：

不同于《三只小猪》或《小红帽》里那些邪恶的旧式恶狼，敖尹丝毫没有想要"吃掉你"的危险意图，他只是想陪你玩、宠爱你。于是台词的字体也从复古书籍风格转变为现代粗体字（就像他现代又张扬的性格一样！），表明他所谓的"入侵"并非字面意义，而是他正在闯入你的心。
在《三只小猪》里，狼是从烟囱掉进小猪家中想吃掉他们；而这支预告片讲的却是完全相反、更加浪漫的故事——没有小猪，只有一位能干又美丽的猎人。这里没有烟囱，敖尹去的是猎人小姐的阳台，他也不是"掉"进她家，而是"坠"入了对她的爱。因此台词写道：

"爱，以狼的形态坠落。"

这也是为什么预告片叫做「本能淪陷法則」。这是一场他情不自禁、为她而坠入的浪漫沦陷。

这是爱情题材其中的一个常见套路 ；异世界的存在（通常是男性角色）在夜晚造访凡人（女性角色），暗示一种秘密的亲密感与非常规的私密恋情。《罗密欧与朱丽叶》中就有一个关键场景，讲的正是恋人间夜访幽会这一主题。

预告片的前提设定围绕着他们的"约会"展开，这也暗示了这次会面本质是浪漫的，同时也可能暗示敖尹正身处某种危险、需要脱身，于是他来到了正在与他相恋的MC身边寻求安全感。这是一次临时起意的约会。

如果结合童话典故这一背景来重新审视这份素材，就会发现事情远没有部分玩家最初理解的那么可怕。叠纸理应做得更多，向国际服玩家普及这个企划背后的灵感来源！如果从中国到其他国家、更多不熟悉这些故事的玩家能了解到这一点，他们就能更好地理解这个故事设定背后的灵感基础。他们会看到，编剧其实是把一个古老的叙事传统，彻底改写重塑成了一个有趣、清新又浪漫的全新故事。

敖尹不是一个强加自己于MC身上的施害者，他是MC的爱慕对象 ；一个情不自禁想要靠近她、而她也乐在其中的人！

希望这篇分析能有所帮助，也希望更多人能够欣赏、或至少开始理解这份写作背后所付出的用心，并对编剧多一份善意，这里面并没有任何恶意。这只是把一个古老的故事，用全新、清新又有趣的方式，重新讲述成一段浪漫故事而已。

📜 Bhāvāchākrā: The Foundational Lore

Many folks unfamiliar with Asian mythologies have expressed confusion regarding the addition of another LI. Truth be told, the existence of 6 LIs was part of the narrative’s design from the very beginning. This is because the story’s foundational lore is deeply rooted in Vedic and Buddhist traditions. And numerous elements of it’s worldbuilding, symbolisms, and structure draw inspiration from these scriptural and philosophical sources.

“Love And Deepspace” is a story about the perpetual cycle of संसार (Saṃsāra). As the MC, we are trapped within the cycle of never-ending suffering across countless lifetimes and timelines. Our journey is to break free from this eternal cycle, and transcend the suffering that binds us to it. The LIs are not merely romantic interests, but essential 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 in that pursuit.

Each of them carries a unique connection to the MC across time, and each plays a vital role in guiding her towards the resolution of this long-standing Kārmic entanglement. It is precisely for this reason that all of them exist within the current timeline simultaneously. Their presence is neither arbitrary, nor accidental. It is a fundamental part of the narrative’s deeper mythological and philosophical framework.

To understand the purpose of the LIs, one must first understand the cycle of Saṃsāra: भवचक्र (Bhāvāchākrā). This cycle of existence which encompasses birth, suffering, death, and rebirth is divided into 6 Realms where sentient beings reside in. Each of these Realms is intrinsically linked to one of the LIs featured in the game —

God realm of pleasure and pride

🏹 Zayne: असुरलोक (Asurālokā)
Demi-God realm of jealousy and strife

🗡️ Xavier: मनुष्यलोक (Mānuṣhyalokā)
Human realm of opportunity and enlightenment

🌕 Valko: पशुलोक (Pāśhulokā)
Animal realm of instinct, fear, and servitude

🩸 Sylus: निर्ऋतिलोक (Nirṛtilokā)
Underworld realm of chaos and decay

🪷 Caleb: प्रेतलोक (Pretālokā)
Hungry-Ghost realm of endless insatiable hunger

As we know, each LI possesses unique abilities and latent potential beyond their Evols, granting them the power to create, shape, preserve, or dismantle whatever they deem necessary. The intricate Strings of Fate connecting the LIs to MC was deliberately woven by CosmicMC Herself.

It’s purpose was to ensure that Her vessel on Earth could draw upon Her true power through all 6 Realms, with the aid of every LI. Only by uniting these connections can She access the fullness of Her divine potential, and ultimately shatter the endless cycle of anguish that has bound Her across countless lifetimes.

Needless to say, it is unlikely that any additional LIs will be introduced to the game. With Valko’s arrival, the narrative now possesses all the pieces it was designed to have from the very beginning, allowing the story to finally move forward.

[⚠️ Please note: There are numerous realms of the Underworld described throughout Vedic scriptures. I chose to highlight the one that appears most relevant to Sylus’s storyline. Pretāloka is another such realm, and it has connections to Caleb’s narrative. 🔖 I would also like to add that primordial cosmic entities, such as Gods, are not beings who concern themselves with the opinions or expectations of mortals. In that regard, CosmicMC is no different. Much of what has transpired throughout the narrative can be viewed as the manifestation of Her own will, unfolding according to a design far beyond mortal comprehension, much like the whims of Deities within the real world. To truly appreciate the lore presented in this game, one must approach it through a non-Abrahamic lens. And remain receptive towards Vedic and Pagan beliefs, philosophies, and cultural traditions.

If Valko is ever given a second chance, I sincerely hope the original voice actors will return with him.

We've spoken a lot about the writers, artists, animators, and designers who spent nearly two years creating this character. But there are also the voice actors.

They gave Valko his voice, his emotions, and part of his soul. They devoted their talent and countless hours to bringing him to life, only to have that work disappear before players could even experience it.
None of this was their fault.

If Valko returns, I hope their performances won't be lost as well. I hope they will still be the voices we hear when we finally meet him.
Supporting Valko also means respecting everyone who worked so hard to create him.

Fiction is not a history textbook or a moral guide. Good stories often explore tragedy, moral ambiguity, flawed characters, and painful historical themes. Simply portraying something does not mean endorsing or glorifying it.

As a Polish player, I'd like to share another perspective. We do not deny China's historical trauma, nor do we disrespect the feelings of Chinese players. We understand that history leaves deep scars. Poland carries its own painful legacy from World War II—millions of our people were killed, our country was occupied, and those memories remain part of our identity.
Precisely because of that, I believe it's important to distinguish between depicting history and promoting an ideology.

Around the world, countless works of fiction are set against the backdrop of real historical tragedies. Games such as Call of Duty: WWII, Wolfenstein, Valiant Hearts: The Great War, and films like Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, The Pianist and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas depict horrific events from history. They are not considered propaganda simply because those events appear in their stories.
Context matters.

Many players associated the appearance of the number "731" with Unit 731, and over time that controversy was redirected toward Valko, despite him not being the character through whom this reference appeared. Regardless of where people stand on that debate, holding Infold accountable for its decisions is one thing. Redirecting that anger toward a fictional character is another.
We can criticize Infold. We can demand accountability. We can disagree with the company's decisions. But we should also be careful not to confuse a historical reference with the promotion of historical crimes or ideology.

Respecting history and understanding the difference between fiction and propaganda are not contradictory. We can—and should—do both.
