Part of the Democratic alienation of the working class is economic policy, but the other part is how much of the party is run by snooty elitists who hate imperfect people

Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
Powerfully important op-ed filled with hard truths by Senator @ChrisVanHollen.
It’s a worthwhile read for everyone who wants to deliver peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians.

My friend Chris Van Hollen is right. Our party can’t keep accepting the status quo. We need to leave behind the failures of the past and move toward real, durable peace for Palestinians and Israelis.
Sen. @ChrisVanHollen makes clear that Biden officials who enabled Israeli atrocities in Gaza should no longer have a role in US foreign policymaking — and that it matters to voters: https://t.co/AlUZwDXGHk

May 26 (Reuters) - State Department Counselor Michael Needham, a longtime aide to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has been promoted to the post of assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser, a source familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
A diplomatic source tells me "intense talks" on the details of an agreement to end the conflict have been ongoing in Qatar since this morning and are still continuing. Negotiations have been taking place between Qatari mediators and the Iranian delegation in coordination with the US, the source said.
The leaders, especially those of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan who don't have formal diplomatic relations with Israel, were surprised by Trump's request. "There was silence on the line and Trump joked and asked if they are still there," one of the U.S. officials said
(Reuters) - A senior Trump administration official told reporters an agreement would not be signed on Sunday, saying that the Iranian system did not move fast enough. But he outlined what he said were the latest contours of what was being negotiated.
The official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Iran had agreed "in principle" to open the Strait of Hormuz, in exchange for the United States lifting its naval blockade, and to dispose of Tehran's highly enriched uranium.
He pushed back on suggestions that Iran has not accepted disposing of its stockpiled enriched uranium. "It's a question about how," the official said.
