Founders Fund filmed tech billionaires playing Mafia. I've believed for years it's the sharpest read on a person you can get — sharper than any pitch. And if we make them play Blood on the Clock Tower, it might be even more intriguing and fun.
If we ran India's first session, here's table one, and what 90 minutes would expose that no data room ever will:
Nikhil Kamath — never shows a card. You'd lynch him last, and he'd have been Mafia the whole time.
Kunal Shah — turns every accusation into philosophy. Genius or cover? You'll never know.
Deepinder Goyal — out-argues the room. The most dangerous villager alive.
Sridhar Vembu — says nothing for three rounds, then quietly names the killer.
Aman Gupta — far too loud to be Mafia. Which is exactly why he is.
Abhiraj Bhal — runs the room like a BCG case. Builds an airtight argument for the suspect, and everyone nods along.
A pitch is rehearsed. References are curated. Nobody can fake how they act when they have incomplete information and something real is on the line. That's not a party trick. That's the whole job of building a company.
