Capaldi era - Mummy on the Orient Express is a perfect episode imo. Every Mathieson episode is pretty fantastic.

Smith - Crimson Horror! Is the episode I wish every other Gaitiss script lived up to.

I think Moff’s best scripts turn the show inside out and is kind of Dr Who being about itself. Mathieson’s episodes are largely uninterested in that (except that viking ep now ove said that) - i think he complimented Moff so well because he wasn’t trying to ape his style at all

Stuhlbarg‘s scene is brilliant tho. And also Rylance has such incredible range - only months ago i got spat on by him during Jerusalem

enjoyed Bones & All, which was very pretty and had a great soundtrack. It also had these scenes that felt like a Whose Line Is It Anyway? bit where those fellas are off camera feeding them increasingly absurd cues for Chalamet and Russell to try to sell as normal

2017 was a hard year for me. I barely made it to NYCC—had been hospitalized for severe depression, was crying all the time, etc. So when Peter Capaldi surprised me at my table it felt like the real Doctor had somehow heard me, and cared… I’ll truly never forget it. #DoctorWhoDay
