@askavrukh perhaps there is h5? I’m thinking if Bxh5 we’ve got Ne1 (maybe also Ng1 works, same reason:) and we threaten Rxf6, removing the defender from h5. if Ng6 moves somewhere after h5 there is Nxe5.

@chessmensch I want e3, overloading the queen which defends d4 and h4, but I think Rxe3 Qxd4 Rg4+ refutes the immediate try… so, maybe Kh7 or Kf8 first (Kh8 and there are maybe Ng6 forks at end of line) and I don’t see a move that stops e3 ideas from working

I think the issue isn’t the rating system itself - these ratings reflect the players’ performance in all relevant games and can’t be denied - but there is a need for something like a trailing 12mo. performance rating, which should matter. Career achievement vs. current strength.
