Blinken is actually scared. He knows how fucked Israel is if a major war breaks, and he has probably been told by security officials in the States they may not be able to save Israel.

(He has probably also been told about the implications of 20 dollars per gallon of gas on the American economy and political stability, which is very likely, and worse, if the oil industry in the Gulf is severely sabotaged).

But Israelis and their politicians don't get it. They think they are protected when it's mostly religious delusions and establishment brainwashing. They are eerily, chillingly complacent. The wake-up is going to be so brutal
