@NewYorkStakz And you going on that show and discussing family history as if your family represents some anomaly that no one is talking about is frustrating. I respect what you did to dind your truth, but representing it like it’s some hidden truth is wrong.
@NewYorkStakz I’m not bringing your underlying motivations into it. What I am saying is, these men may have built this country, but they don’t get to stand on a pedestal like it wasn’t built on the work of slaves. They should be and will continue to be called out for it.
@NewYorkStakz@NewYorkStakz we went to the same school district. You just didn’t look deep enough into the facts. Stop pushing a narrative of “because it didn’t happen to me or mine, it didn’t happen.” Most black people were enslaved and all black people were subjected to segregation.
Just thinking about how after this photo ran Wall Street Journal columnists spent more time criticizing me for not smiling enough than asking Manchin precisely what areas of “common ground” he had in mind when he stood up for the GOP.
Turns out voter suppression was one of them!
