Simple things sometimes the best. Some girls fangirling over @maitlan_brown at #wbbl09 Maito gave them a shirt at change of innings and they haven’t stopped giggling for 10 overs 😍 love your work!
@Delissak a while ago you & Beth Mooney gifted my then 8 year old daughter with some gloves after a game at Drummoyne Oval (and interviewed her on TV). Today, at almost 11 years, she’s grown enough that she played in them. Thank you both for helping inspire her. @AusWomenCricket
This test is about to turn into a T20. Strap in for a crazy finish. Still waiting for Hodgey to apologise for his frequent assertion the declaration was too late... #Ashes@7Cricket
@TomBurkeDarwin I’m not in any way against women playing 5 days. More cricket to watch (live or on TV)! I think the bigger issue is not 4 v 5 days, but not playing enough Tests in the first place.
@TomBurkeDarwin Outcomes seem to be more common in the last twenty years but overall stats for draws quite high. Will be interesting to see if that changes in time. https://t.co/1YO0IlJDvX
@TomBurkeDarwin My understanding is because the women consistently get through overs faster than men, so it’s felt they play sufficient cricket in 4 days (and match outcomes generally reflect this). They’d play way more cricket than men in 5 days - potentially a player fatigue and injury issue.
