@HowdyPeepos dark souls (and elden ring now/soon) are both on switch and i've played that version of dsr probably more than any other version, just because you don't personally know anyone doesn't mean there aren't a lot of people that will be playing it

@Maeliketh @HowdyPeepos it's probably a situation where they couldn't get the resources to make it the way they wanted to and by having an exclusivity deal they get more budget to work with, it's kind of the same reason why demons souls had to launch with the same sort of contract

@HowdyPeepos I'm sure that there are a percentage of switch players who really love dark souls remastered but haven't been able to play any of the other ones (except elden ring now) that will get to enjoy it, and I think that's OK as well.

@kizukuriii it really depends on what you come to games for but if you enjoyed Undertale you will enjoy Deltarune even more.

It's not that I don't think Undertale yellow is fine, I just think an actual fan of Undertale would have remembered Flowey's origin is all.

@fambramb I mean if it's taking place inside of the flower shop like we think it might be, I don't see why there couldn't be something like the sun in the dark world if there was a moon in the cyber world.

It's not actual "light", it's just a fake sun made in the dark world.

@FuckKoroks New generations of digital artists and game developers don't take the time to learn how to do certain things from scratch and now they have to use motion capture to rig a cube. And if I said this is a symptom of art/dev programs having too many shortcuts, they'll come for me.

@Tourinyaan norse legends in france (life trio), sci-fi aliens in hawaii (ultra beaats), japanese gods in new york (forces of nature) with their other forms being based in chinese mythology, but this is somehow where we start to care about regional accuracy

not that I expressly believe we are going to get any Deltarune news tomorrow but just in case we do I am quickly playing through the whole game and getting all the shadow crystals and eggs and moss and such on a fresh file

@mikodolls I don't like to block without a really good reason because I don't want to be someone who avoids the slightest negativity at all times, I think to an extent being on the Internet requires tough skin and you'll never develop it by avoid avoiding negativity completely.

I think it's weird to say that you want your significant other to be your best friend but you met them on a dating app where you engaged with them specifically with romantic intent and not as a friend, and then you think you could never date one of your existing friends.

@FrogFroggs and if we give them a pass on it because they used it on something so insignificant, suddenly every studio knows it's OK and suddenly everyone is using it for "just this one thing" when nobody should be using it for any thing at all

@FrogFroggs using it at all still engages with the infrastructure of it and still contributes to all the issues associated with it, also using it as a reference is still using stolen art and such as a part of the process, there is no ethical way to use it, even innocuous isn't harmless

@Gravecyde yeah maybe but Scooby Doo is typically not a puppy in most of his appearances, and forgive me for thinking that they probably aren't going to be doing a pup named Scooby Doo adaptation in the big 27
