DevOps and SRE have simply become the new Dev and Ops.
Each has higher lifecycle coverage, higher skill expectations, and new titles.
They're just wrapped in a new culture and use new tools (very important). We consolidated, now we're specializing.. again.
A rambling๐งต๐
@martimusacchio I built something for exactly this โ KindleSync auto-syncs your Kindle highlights to Notion in the background so you don't have to download anything manually. It's pretty awesome paired with Notion AI if you use it! Free for 3 books: https://t.co/MDPXrFIIxc
@ethanmonkhouse@books_kazuma I recently built https://t.co/MDPXrFJgmK to handle this sync automatically. Not sure how it works with scribe specifically.. want to try it out?
@tahigash3@devnetdan I am using aetest.loop.mark, but I pass in a dict for use in the test that gets parsed as the test name. IIRC, passing the uid as well causes another set of loops.
I can try it again in the morning to confirm.
I'm working with pyATS, and looping over a number of tests that are given a healthily-sized dict for input.
This makes the output.. less than useful. I haven't been able to figure out how to manually set the test name aside from the function name/input combo it uses.
Any tips?
@devnetdan Yea, it's "uid" prop, but it doesn't seem to work for the individual tests inside a loop. You can see me testing this in the screenshot with the "my uid self" in the middle-ish.
I was able to set that with self.uid in the test, but it doesn't effect the individual iteration.
I am excited to share that I will be joining @Google as a Network Automation Engineer focusing on a new offering within the Google Distributed Cloud! ๐ฅณ
For those @CiscoLive wondering where I am.. there you go.
This is also why my #DevNetExpert has been paused (for now)!
