Today is a reminder to check in on people u care about. Reach out to someone u haven’t spoken to in awhile. Remember that it costs nothing to be a good human. Surprise someone with an act of kindness today, knowing that it’s the most powerful agent of human change! #BellLetsTalk
Today is #BellLetsTalk Day! One of the ways we can all take action is to learn about mental health organizations creating positive change for mental health in Canada…every day.

Heading north to #Nunavut, Kitikmeot Heritage Society (@inuinnait) provides mental health support and resources for Inuit communities in the Kitikmeot region. Visit their website https://t.co/YRq1JLRHQx #BellLetsTalk

The Sun is on its way back to the Yukon, to the entire North. Happy dance to celebrate more sunshine. I am dispatching this joy, hope and positivity across Canada and beyond.
Simple ways to help independent restaurants:
—Don’t eat at big chains.
—Instead of one expensive meal, have three moderately priced ones.
—Include wine/alcohol with takeout if it’s permitted.
—Stop using third party delivery apps.
—Give restaurant gift cards for the holidays.
If restaurant people ran Congress, there would be rivalries and bickering, but when it’s time to do the job we would GET IT DONE. If we could somehow get our political leaders to function like we do during a busy service, we could solve so many of our society’s problems.
Finally a place with both. How many times have y'all hit a porridge joint & you're all "I need some bread with this" & everyone laughs at you & you start crying? Or you're all up in the bread spot & you're like "Side of porridge please" & they punch you in the neck & face?
40 years ago, when I was a little girl, #TerryFox began his #MarathonOfHope in St. John's Newfoundland, & eventually ran through #Guelph. I had the privilege of seeing him & donating my allowance.
Terry Fox remains a hero to me, & so many Canadians, for all the right reasons.
