Building a more sustainable cooling sector requires collaboration!
On February 23rd and 24th, the Ministry of Planning, Economic Affairs, and Development, in partnership with UNDP, brought together industry leaders, importers, technical experts, and policymakers for a Validation Workshop and Stakeholder Forum focused on the future of cooling in Trinidad and Tobago.
Participants reviewed new business models to manage refrigerant and cooling-sector waste under the ODS Banks Project, while also engaging on upcoming energy efficiency standards and digital tools that can improve performance in large-scale cooling systems, the mandate of the Digital Tools in Cooling project.
Together, these efforts reflect a synergistic approach to national development and climate action, connecting better waste management, improved energy efficiency, and innovative technologies to build a more sustainable and resilient cooling sector for Trinidad and Tobago.
