Medicine humbles everyone. The senior who terrorized you in MBBS is your co-PG today. The junior you ignored is your senior tomorrow. The patient you dismissed teaches you the most. Be good early, the system has a long memory and a longer queue. Be good, Do good.
Me to Divya - Hey, don’t go to work. Take care of kid at home. Stay at home. Don’t go out. I make enough for both.
Divya - what about my MBBS and MD. I love being a doctor.
Me - no- that doesn’t matter. Stay home for kid. It’s freedom. Its protection.
See how pathetic it sounds?
Don’t guilt trip working mothers. I was raised by working mother - turned out to be fine - actually better than you atleast.
And mom is CEO of a PSU today.
I just cannot believe how people oppose removing stray dogs from street??? Like have u never experienced the all consuming, heart racing fear when a rabid stray dog starts following you?? Or is your love for ‘dogs’ in general taking over ur common sense?
@NamithaPL Best clinical branch in my opinion
1. Clinical+surgical
2. No need of super specialisation
3. Good patients load even in private sectors with no competition with any other branch
4. Good scope in India considering the population
I will rate Obgy >> other clinical branch
Never pull up your juniors in front of patients. It might seem small, but it can crush their confidence and the patient’s trust in them. Talk to them privately instead. They’re the ones who stand by those patients day and night. they deserve respect, not ridicule.
It often feels like psychiatry is a branch that of rich. It rewards those with time, money & stability, because our best outcomes usually depend on continuity, follow-ups, family time in clinic and the ability to tolerate trial-and-error.
These are luxuries for many.
Premium quality coffee should be affordable to all; in fact, it should be given for free. Airports are built with taxpayers' money - everything should be free (including flight tickets). Bloody lootere

There is no shame in having a mental disorder - these are not choices. Still standing is. Still showing up is.

Not sleeping adequately will definitely increase your chances of not surviving. 7-8 hrs of restorative sleep is absolutely essential. Do not fret over not having that crore. With the right kind of lifestyle, intent, knowledge and passion.. one can achieve anything.
NEVER lead with ‘why’ in suicide discussions. Without a full biopsychosocial context, that is, past and family history, interpersonal stressors, such judgments are extremely unsafe. Protective factors don’t immunise against pervasive despair and sadness. You can have everything, but still have wishes to die.
