@JackAngelxx@GerrySamuels12@benonwine It was a one-off event. That’s why we remember it.
The generation that are children now won’t remember 2026 in the same way because every single year it gets hotter and hotter.
@Shuswapgigi@TheJasonPugh@MarkJCarney P.S. Negotiated while a member and lost upon Brexit. If UK wanted to rejoin, as a new member they would not get these opt-out options.
@Shuswapgigi@TheJasonPugh@MarkJCarney UK was an EU member from 1973 until 2020.
During that time
EMU was created with UK as a member with an SMU op-out.
Schengen zone was created, UK opted out. Member states all issue their own passports, there is no EU passport.
UK opt-outs were negotiated while an EU member.
@SaulStaniforth What the hell are we doing here when a government official can imply, with no evidence, that one of the world’s top referees is in cahoots with terrorists. Worst World Cup ever.
@Lizzy_NL Hi Lizzy 👋
I’ve been watching Eurovision since 1965. And commenting on Twitter’s become part of that tradition 😂 This is still the place to do it.
I’m waiting up to see the voting, because I always have done.
But watching the recap I realise that I’ve already forgotten 3/4 of the songs.
Despite remembering all the historical ones they sang earlier 😂 #Eurovision2026
The return of the Eurovision nonsense title!
It’s enough to make you nostalgic.
La La La, Boom Bang-a-Bang, Ding-a-Dong, A-Ba-Ni-Bi, Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley and now Bangaranga.
