@diazbriseno If instead this is a more general gripe about the way that hegemonic cultures co-opt and bastardize the language of other cultures, them yeah, I'm totally with you, although <tamale> seems like a somewhat ironic hill to die on.

@diazbriseno I get that editors have to make choices and there might be legitimate reasons both for translating and for leaving untranslated certain words in a headline or article. But <tamale> seems acceptable, given that it is the widely-used English translation of the Spanish <tamal>
