When you're producing merch for @SonicLabs at Devconnect Argentina @EFDevcon and realize importing is basically impossible because of very high import taxes, you get creative 🇦🇷
We scouted 80+ companies across Argentina.
Most were standard print shops. good quality, but nothing special.
Then we found him....
A solo artist running a small studio in Buenos Aires. not just a screen printer an actual artist. The kind who does gallery quality art prints alongside custom apparel.
The original concepts had cartoon vibes playful characters. but working with our art department, we evolved it into something that captures what Sonic actually is the fastest EVM chain meets Argentinian creative energy.
The final design is a surreal world with the Sonic logo floating over a globe, surrounded by flowers, buildings, soccer balls nods to both crypto culture and Buenos Aires itself. "DeFi REDEFINED" sits at the bottom.
Sometimes the best merch comes from the hardest logistics.
Shoutout to the local artists making it happen 🤝

i spoke at the @SonicLabs Summit so that i have a higher chance of allo for the @flyingtulip_ presales
a topic we discussed about stood out to me - how can we make more effective defAI agents?
in my humble opinion many crypto apps are thinking of it the wrong way:
- the underlying model you use for your agent doesn't really matter
- 'finetuning' or 'training' the model to be defi-native will prove to be pretty futile - unless you're merely a q&a agent
- RAG can only get you so far - again only useful for a general defi q&a agent
instead we should:
- lean into training our agents in defi environments - i would love to see open-sourced defi-native RL environments being built - this is the only way we can try to push agents to outperform passive yield vaults and actually be autonomous across any kinds of defi apps on any chain
- be more wary about the kind of evals we design to determine if an agent is good enough for production. without this step agents will always only be good enough for 'play money'
- choose the right wallet architectures for agents to use, @crossmint 's agent wallets are a great example of this
overall a fruitful discussion, and here's a photo of me totally forgetting that i have to look good on camera!
