Yeah, Newcastle fans will say “thank you for the £130m”… but let’s be honest, the club had no choice. PSR screwed them over, and Liverpool knew exactly how to exploit it.
So Alexander Isak finally wears Red.
But let’s be real...this wasn’t some last-minute raid.
- LFC first tried in 2016 (he chose Dortmund).
- Tried again in 2022 (Klopp picked Núñez).
- Now in 2025, nine years later, third time lucky...we finally got our man. That’s persistence, not luck.
And here’s the hypocrisy part:
When clubs don’t want a player, they isolate him, freeze him out, and force him to move...everyone calls it “normal business.”
But when a player like Isak pushes back? Suddenly he’s “unprofessional.”
Even better: Same fans blasted Wissa for doing the exact same thing Isak did. But when it hurt their club, the standards changed. Double standards much?
Now, credit where it’s due...Liverpool played this perfectly. This was transfer market opposition analysis at its finest:
- Newcastle’s highest-paid Striker for a "£150m" asset? £120k/week. LFC easily offered more.
- Sporting Director resigned in June 2025...boardroom chaos.
- PSR issues forced them to sell...or risk points deductions, fines, even transfer bans.
- Promises to Isak about ambition never materialised.
- He refused to play/train...a £100m+ asset sitting idle.
- Newcastle’s recruitment collapsed...proving they’re not the “big club” they think they are.
Liverpool didn’t destabilise anything. We simply bid at the perfect moment. That’s smart business. That’s foresight. That’s strategy.
But instead of looking in the mirror, the fans and paid journos run a smear campaign on Isak...the same player who helped deliver them a trophy and Champions League football.
Maybe they should ask tough questions about how their club is run… before blaming Liverpool or the player who gave them their best years in decades.
Remember when our fans were predicting our lineup in the summer and they were all leaving Szoboszlai out. And now he’s the best right back and midfielder in the league. LOL.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.
Especially all you Arsenal fans out there - you can relive how Liverpool “didn’t play anybody” until at least November, then “ran out of steam in January”, then “hit a wall in March”, before “capitulating in April”.
Premier League Years 24/25. 8pm.
Liverpool sold 28-year-old Luis Díaz for £75M. Arsenal’s biggest sale in history is Oxlade-Chamberlain for £34M to Liverpool.
Liverpool gave Arsenal their record sale in history and also gave the player a Premier League, European treble, and the domestic double 🏆
