Parliamentary processes can be obscure, but in this is clear, the Govt want to bring in a repressive measure that has already been debated and rejected. To stop it, @UKLabour peers must vote FOR a Fatal Motion which throws the measure out. Again. Please lobby them not to abstain!
This is a make-or-break moment for parliamentary democracy but silence from UK media. Help me send this to a million views along with a message to all opposition parties that it’s time to step up & work TOGETHER to stop this
Secretary of State @theresecoffey is visiting the Wye today.
We’re very disappointed not to be invited to the round table discussion.
Avara Foods will be there (responsible for over 16 million chickens in the Wye catchment).
Any hope of a plan to clean up the river?
The #PublicOrderAct has passed, but something the Lords rejected, as too extreme, has been brought back by the Tory Govt in a less visible way. It's sneaky. It's cheating. No Govt has ever attempted it before. We must stop them.
CRITICAL
Baroness @GreenJennyJones has tabled a rare "fatal motion" to stop a Tory amendment to Public Order Bill.
Tories are changing ‘serious disruption’ of other people’s day-to-day activities to mean ‘anything more than minor’.
Lords opposed it. Tories using secondary legislation to get it back in without change.
If they win, imagine authoritarian Britain in a short space of time

A year on since Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, we can reveal that the Conservative Party is still receiving large donations from individuals and companies with links to Russia. https://t.co/nL7FzWxxbk via @goodlawproject
I haven’t done this for a while but it’s so important, so here goes! If you oppose NHS privatisation please will you RT this? I need to know who to follow back next (it’ll be you!) Ju 💙
Britain is a rich, stable and developed country. We can so easily afford to feed, water and house ourselves without trashing nature, and the ‘natural capital’ on which we depend for *everything*. What kind of an example do we set for poorer, less secure nations if we can’t manage this basic civilisational requirement ourselves? These are the most ruinous practices I would like to see eliminated from our own landscapes:
New research alert! 📣 A study led by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) has revealed that the UK's gardens are acting as a safe haven for butterflies.

Boris Johnson has got some new lawyers and he reckons that WE should pay £1,000,000+ for them on top of the £250,000 he already took.
NO, NO, NO, pay your own bills and go to jail.
PLEASE PLEASE CAN EVERYONE TAG A FEW CELEBS AND SEE IF WE CAN GET A RESULT

A flight over the scrub at Coton today to show the number of non-fruit trees that will be dug up for the @GreaterCambs road for buses (see houses for scale). A #biodiverse habitat that’s home to birds, butterflies, badgers, foxes…. Gone. Pls sign/share the petition to #SaveCotonOrchard 🌳🦊🚌❌🖊️ https://t.co/sejDHugqIz
Local residents join the movement for greener streets🌳🌳
In #Haringey locals have been supporting a boroughwide effort, with @haringeycouncil to plant more street trees, by sponsoring additional trees🌳
This year 300+ trees were supported by resident sponsorship
