No family should have to fight both a cancer diagnosis and their insurance company at the same time. Women—especially in rural communities like Michigan—should be able to get the genetic testing and specialty care they need to catch this disease early or prevent it altogether.
Our bill tackles this issue from every angle -- awareness, outreach, access to care, and access to testing.

First on CBS: @SenatorSlotkin sent a letter to President Trump today urging him to press Xi next week on the report that Chinese entities gave satellite images to Iran of a base in Jordan before a strike that killed 3 U.S. service members. w/ @kathrynw5

46 senate dems are signed onto @SenatorSlotkin’s letter demanding Hegseth finally tell Congress what it’s actually costing taxpayers
Democratic senators send a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanding a detailed breakdown of the cost of military operations against Iran. https://t.co/oSF4iFoxNi
Sen. Elissa Slotkin says she still has not heard back from Defense Secy. Hegseth after asking him to confirm troops will not be sent to polling locations during the midterms: “I just wanted them to very clearly articulate that ‘no, if I’m asked to send uniformed military into a place like Detroit to collect voting machines, ballots… I’m going to stand up.’ And we have heard nothing…”
Gen. Caine confirms to Slotkin that the US military has no plans to send troops to the polls in Nov… Sec. Hegseth has yet to respond.

When @AbdulElSayed wins and joins @ElissaSlotkin
in the Senate, they will be the first full Senate delegation to BOTH reject Corporate PAC money.
Slotkin has a bill to ban it outright.
President Trump is playing right into Kim Jong-Un's hands. Our alliance with South Korea is critical to U.S. security and announcing a decision to unilaterally scale back joint exercises, over social media, all while touting a "very good relationship" with Kim, is a gross miscalculation.
Trump is rewarding a regime that sends weapons and troops to fight for Russia and has a long history of cooperation with Iran. Undermining our allies while making concessions to our adversaries is not a show of strength—it only emboldens those who threaten us.
SEN. SLOTKIN SAYS TRUMP WON’T ACCEPT MIDTERM RESULTS: Days after the president’s speech repeating false claims,, ‘The View’ co-hosts weigh in on Democratic Sen. Elissa Slotkin’s warning that your midterm vote could be at risk.
Last night, President Trump was back to tweeting about me. This time it wasn't about his efforts to criminally indict me, but my work to stop his Administration from curbing our right to vote by mail.
He is obsessed with pushing misinformation about America's elections because he fears he's going to lose in November. It's all part of a well-worn authoritarian playbook and the intimidation is the point.
But in our 250th year, I can't think of anything more important than standing up for our democracy and our right to vote.
In Michigan, National Hot Dog Day is kind of a big deal. 🌭
If you are in Washington, D.C., come celebrate with our Michigan chambers, @SenGaryPeters, and I tomorrow from 3–5 p.m. in Room 385 of the Russell Senate Office Building!
As I get back to Washington, D.C., I want to welcome the announcement that the United States intends to remove Syria from the State Sponsor of Terrorism list. It's clear that this designation has been a roadblock to Syria's much-needed reconstruction and economic development — including from Syrian-Michiganders — after more than a decade of conflict.
In the meantime, the new Syrian government has demonstrated a willingness to fight terrorism. It's time to open a new chapter in the US-Syria relationship and to give Syrians a real chance at stability and economic development.
The Syrian diaspora, anchored by a strong and successful community in Michigan, is ready to help lead that effort -- and that requires the full and speedy implementation of this decision. https://t.co/ysdMn362rd
Credible allegations of physical or sexual violence against women, with independent corroboration, can’t be ignored — whether it's a Democrat or Republican, a private citizen or a senior leader, like the President of the United States.
Mr. Platner has denied the allegations, and he has the right to defend himself -- but at a certain point every leader has to decide what’s best for the people he hopes to represent.
He should do the right thing, drop out quickly, and give Maine Democrats the opportunity to select a new nominee who can compete and win in November.
WATCH NOW: Today I’m joining @SenRubenGallego, @SenatorBaldwin and @SenAlexPadilla to introduce the Protect our Polls Act to stop President Trump from weaponizing our military and federal agents from interfering in our elections.

🚨🚨🚨 @SenatorSlotkin is introducing the Protect Our Polls Act.
Trump has threatened free and fair elections countless times and refuses to rule out sending military to the polls. Her bill shuts down Trump’s ability to use the military to interfere in elections.
