Living in early 2026, you're witnessing two tidal waves surging forward at once: a Renaissance in tech and a technological Big Bang in the arts. It's hard not to call this the greatest spectacle in human history.

Most people imagine "embracing the future" as a dramatic moment. One day it all clicks, you make a bold pivot, and from there it's a straight line upward. That's how it works in the movies.
But the real thing looks nothing like that. It's spending two hours installing a tool that never runs. It's writing a piece you thought was insightful, only for no one to read it. It's building a prototype over the weekend and ending up more confused than before, unsure if you're even on the right track.
No one applauds while you're fumbling in the dark. No metric tells you "you're on the right path." You can't even tell whether the three hours you just spent were building toward something or burning daylight.
What makes it worse: life doesn't pause for your exploration. Relationships need tending. Bills need paying. The future always gets squeezed in after "real responsibilities."
That's what embracing the future actually looks like. No dramatic leap of faith. Just walking through fog, step by step, unable to see ahead, unable to go back, sitting with the quiet uncertainty that this step might lead nowhere, moving forward anyway on nothing but instinct and nerve.

How much can AI produce for a single dollar? 50,000 words of text. Or 25 images. Or 6 seconds of video.
The cost of producing text is essentially zero. It's air.
But scroll through your timeline and you'll notice something odd. It's photographers, filmmakers, and programmers complaining about AI taking their jobs. Nobody's talking about writers. Nobody even remembers that writing used to be a real profession.
That's because code and images can still command a price. Illustrators had commissions. Developers had six-figure salaries. When AI came for them, the pain was immediate, visceral, impossible to ignore. Of course they're angry.
But writers? Writers lost their livelihoods a decade ago. Print media collapsed, ad revenue migrated, the entire payment infrastructure for written work slowly dissolved. It happened so gradually that by the time it was over, there was nothing left to be angry about.
The rage that artists and coders are feeling right now? Writers felt that ten years ago. Nobody cared.
And now AI has finished the job. A thousand words costs a fraction of a cent to generate. Text didn't just get cheap. It got free.
Yet somehow, there are still people out there writing. Every day. Not for money, not for clicks, not for the algorithm. Just writing. Ask them why and they probably couldn't tell you.
But here's the thing. Writing already got there. Everything else is just next in line. Give it a few years. Photography will be a labor of love. Filmmaking will be a labor of love. Coding will be a labor of love.
What happened to writing is about to happen to everything.

Honestly, in the AI era, most time sensitive discourse is just something to watch for fun.
No one knows what the world will look like six months from now. What people were obsessing over last month is already forgotten this month. Take every hot topic too seriously, and you will probably end up chasing emptiness.
That is why I want my long form writing to be the kind people can come back to a year, two years, or three years from now and still find valuable.
Models will improve. Features will expire. But conversations with real depth can survive the cycle.
《Dharma OS》

Someone once said that all art has form and content, except music. You can't separate a melody's "meaning" from the melody itself. The melody is the meaning.
Using AI to create isn't about chasing trends. It's a metaphor for meditation: you input intention, release control, and wait for emergence. Whether the machine understands Zen, I can't say. But the notes it conjures are sometimes more ethereal than anything human hands might reach.
Scattered metallic bell tones drifting across a stereo field. A wide reverb deepening slowly, holding the trace of each strike. That's what Dharma OS is trying to catch.
Finding your own order inside the vast and chaotic. Zen does this. So does an operating system.
That's where Dharma OS comes from.
