In 2026, tempo control is done all over the pitch, we don't need Caicedo to be a specialist at it.
I believe what we need now is another athletic DM/CM, we need a blend or another Caicedo.

I do recommend that we go back to Brighton for Baleba.

Ideally Control in football has it core in midfield, but tempo control isn't necessarily a midfield thing now, they don't have to start it either. It could start with a GK , CB, FBs and AMs. A CM in Caicedo as a controller isn't the best and not the worst either.

Any attack of an estevao,Palmer or JP needs help.
Neto/Jackson brings the balance in attack but provides less quality. Fortunately we have technical players all over the field, we will need two of Caicedo's in midfield to anchor everything.

It will take time to get back into proper match fitness but it will won't be a Pogba.
