Is it just me or there is actually no other prominent branch of Christianity than pastoring?

Today, every gospel artist once blown transits into pastoring and the artist carries a new title - General Overseer.

Every Drama minister's ultimate goal is no longer to become the next Mike Bamiloye, writing scripts that markets the gospel to millions but to become a church owner.

Even skit makers in the kingdom are today claiming to have pastoral calling.

Many that should remain as evangelists are Senior Prophets today...

What am I not getting?

Is God no longer calling people into the diverse offices and assignments of the Kingdom? Has the Body of Christ become so centralized around the pulpit that every gift now feels compelled to end there?

Or have we unconsciously created a culture where the glamour, influence, financial comfort, and prestige associated with being an overseer now appear more attractive than faithfully serving in other Kingdom callings?

The Body of Christ is not made up of mouths alone. The eye is not the hand, and the hand is not the foot. Heaven never designed the Church to function with everyone behind a pulpit.

The Yoruba Orisa philosophy appears to be more consistent - The Priests know themselves. The diviners know themselves. The herbalists know themselves. The warriors know themselves. A clue our Christian brethren can borrow.

Q: Why is it so easy to criticise and have a plan till you get into government? 🤔

A: Because outside govt, you see the problem in straight lines. Inside government, you meet the maze.

From outside, failure often looks like a lack of will, competence, courage, or integrity. Sometimes it is. But inside government, plans meet weak institutions, inherited liabilities, vested interests, procurement rules, courts, legislators, budget limits, security realities, civil service inertia, and the politics of timing.

Culture happens, stories begin and self-preservation agendas find life.

The easiest sentence in public life is: “They should just fix it.” The harder truth is that the state is not one person with one button. It is a network of laws, interests, fears, incentives, sabotage, capacity gaps, and consequences.

Still, complexity is not an excuse for failure. Government exists to organise complexity into results. The real test of leadership is whether a plan survives contact with reality, adapts without losing its moral centre, and delivers relief citizens can feel.

So, I have learnt to appreciate progress, momentum and incremental gains..... not the eldorado version.

Yet, criticism keeps power honest, but getting results for desired governance requires more than criticism. It requires getting involved, sequencing, coalition-building, courage, competence, communication, and the humility to accept that the problem was deeper than the slogan.

The code is to win by knowing when to lose, win or compromise.

On a scale we can all relate wirh, we should for example know that the wedding, of which we priotise expenses with, is just an event, while the marriage remains the institution of priority. Even within this family arrangement, optimising value reflects similar challenges.😔 You can read this in a way you get the message.

“Factually, a President does not have to tour problematic states as if he is a District Officer (DO). But he (Tinubu) has visited some of the States you have highlighted.

Realistically, what are you accusing him of? His troops are fighting the bandits and insurgents any where they can be found. He has enlisted help (military assistance) from the USA, he has changed service chiefs for new direction to be injected into the battle, he has released money for purchase of modern fighting equipments such as drones, tanks etc for the annihilation of these insurgents, he has okayed the recruitment of fresh feet for the war etc. So short of the President changing into battle fatigues and going into the bush to lead the fight himself the President has performed brilliantly in the fight against insurgency.

Do not forget that Nigeria is a Federation and two-thirds of the budget goes to the sub national entities such as the States and Local Government. What are the affected Governors doing with their money? It is even being strongly suspected that fifth columnists among them are using their resources to frustrate FGN efforts in the fight against insurgency and banditry so as to promote their selfish political ambitions and to maintain their grips on activities such as illegal mining.

A broad overview and honest assessment of PBAT’s performance shows that he has done very well when compared with the hollow and husk of a system and a nation that he took over from PMB.

We should not allow sectional politics and perennial ingratitude to cloud our vision and sense of appreciation. The political and economic restructuring of Nigeria is a work in progress. So allow the man to seek his 2nd term in peace. Other seemingly non performing leaders before him won their 2nd term bid convincingly. This one too will win his own 2nd term. It is only God Almighty that can say otherwise and since He is not a tool for injustice HE sees the President’s efforts and by His Grace will crown these many efforts with glory. Let every one wait for their turn.”
